sun, sand, & family...

We are back from a much needed vacation to Mexico. We had been lacking in the sun department in WA so it was in the cards for us to travel to some where tropical for a change of scenery. And what a perfect excuse to go since my mom is living down there part of the year.

They have an absolutely beautiful house in El Sargento (in between Cabo and La Paz) and even though it was a trek from the airport we were happy to chill at the beach and swim in the pool.

^^ Their fantastic pool that we spent several hours in during our stay.^^

During our stay we visited the town of Todos Santos and Ethan tried boogie boarding for the first time and absolutely loved it. We ended up driving to an out of the way beach off the beaten path to catch some waves. We stayed at a great hotel called Villas de la mar that was right above the beach on a cliff and had the biggest room ever.

We were able to time our trip with meeting up with both my sister's family and my step brother Ivor so it was sort of a family reunion and a great chance for the cousins to hang out since we don't get to see them enough anyways.

^^ Watching the sun go down in the beach in front of my parents house.^^

^^Ethan getting to spend time with his cousins and causing trouble.^^

^^Great beach we drove to outside of town.^^

^^Margarita happy hour out on the patio.^^

^^Tex even enjoyed laying out in the sun as well.^^

^^At a restaurant that we visited, Ethan wanted to sit at the kids table and the waiter actually came over and took his order (fries and a milkshake) and brought him his food like a total grownup. Unfortunately, Ethan refused to pay the bill though. ;-)^^
