taking a ride on the santa train...

As I said in my earlier posts, this month (well at least this last weekend) is full of holiday traditions and seeing Santa is one of those. Each year we have drove up to Snoqualmie and taken the train to see Santa Claus. We get to board at the train station in North Bend and make our way for about a twenty minute train ride to the train depot in the town of Snoqualmie where Santa is.

Ethan really wanted to be on the other end of the camera during our ride so took several of Jeff and I. Most with either one of us in the picture or our heads cut off but this one was pretty good.

Once we arrived we made a mad dash to see Santa because that line can get pretty dang long. As soon as we got in Ethan sat on Santa's lap and knew exactly what he was going to ask for -  a stuffed Pac Man.

After that we went into the old train car for some cookies and hot chocolate followed by exploring the trains outside.

We picked up a book for the trip back home.

And Ethan thought it would be fun to try on dad's Santa hat for a bit. Not sure what the medicating pose is about though.

Once we made it back to the depot we were pretty hungry so we headed back down the mountain to hit up XXX Root beer Stand.

I had to take a picture of the burger that Jeff ordered because it was HUGE. We didn't realize it was going to be that massive until they brought it out. I guess they are known for their big hamburgers.
