The title of this post is a little misleading since I did not actually get to go on a business trip, Jeff did. As he headed to Boston Ethan and I flew solo for a few days and boy was I ready for Jeff to return. Ethan and I did have a great time however and we seemed to be on the go every day (hence why I was tired).
One of the days my dad came down to visit and we headed to the Woodland Park Zoo. The weather and the day turned out great, and we walked around the whole entire zoo. I think Ethan was even tired after that which is a rarity in our house.

woodland park zoo...
Jeff has been gearing up for his big work show PAX going on this coming weekend so Ethan and I had a day to ourselves. What better way to hang out than at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle.
We packed a lunch of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and fruit and headed to the zoo to pretend to be silly monkeys for the day. I even talked him into going and seeing their Dinosaur exhibit. He was a little scared at first but seemed to enjoy it. I think his favorite thing about the exhibit was that the dinosaur spit and burped and of course getting ice cream at the end of the day.

(Ethan was a little nervous about getting close to the dinosaur)
(Trying to force a smile while wanting to make a mad dash out of there)
(Ethan tamed the beast by the end of it)

Woodland Park Zoo
We have been wanting to go and visit the zoo for awhile now. Especially since the Nocturnal House will be closing on March 1st and this is one of our favorite exhibits. Since we had several days of clear weather and the rain is headed our way again we decided to go. It was a little chilly out but we saw quite a few animals and luckily the zoo was not too crowded. Ethan really enjoyed seeing the animals, especially the Howler Monkey's.

Penny Arcade Expo 2009
The time has come for the Penny Arcade Expo also commonly known as PAX, which means I lose my husband for 4 days and I get to be a single parent. If you are attending the show, Jeff is on the Pitch Your Game Idea Panel on Saturday from 4 to 5 so check him out.
I am trying to schedule our days this coming weekend but a lot depends on what Mother Nature decides to provide us for weather. I am hoping one day we will be able to go to Woodland Park Zoo. They have a fantastic Penguin exhibit if you have not been there recently. I also want to try to make it up to Bellingham one day and possibly go hiking around Mt. Baker with my dad. Of course, since these are outdoor activities and if it rains we will need to have a back up plan and I am fresh out of ideas. If anyone has any please share.
