Splash Playground at Crossroads Park in Bellevue Washington

We decided to beat the heat today and headed over to the Splash Playground at Crossroads Park in Bellevue and what a fun time we had. This is a great spot to take kids of all ages and they even have some sheltered picnic areas right near the Splash zones. I am thinking that this may be a great place to have Ethan's birthday party next year. They also have a playground that is great for kids of all ages right next to the water area. Plus, since we were near the Crossroads mall we had lunch in their great international food court, followed by some ice-cream. A perfect summer day!

Official Soccer Mom...

We signed up Ethan today to start soccer in the Fall at Arena Sports in Redmond. So beginning September our Saturday's will be spent driving Ethan to soccer practice so he can shoot balls into a net. I bought him a soccer net for his birthday and he really enjoys kicking the ball into it so I figured that it was about time to get him started in the world of sports. Thankfully it is indoor soccer during the rainy months. Plus, it's early enough that it will not interfere with the Seahawks games since Ethan is now a season ticket holder with his daddy.

Ethan's 3rd Birthday Party.

In the past we have had Ethan's birthday party in the back yard with a BBQ but this year we decided to actually go to a place instead. Thankfully we decided to do this since on his party day it decided to be cold and rainy in Seattle. This is not typical for this time of year but it is Seattle. It was also Seafair weekend, and really bad traffic but thankfully everyone was able to make it.

We chose to have his party at one of his favorite places, The Children's Museum at the Seattle Center. We rented out the Jungle room for his party and invited friends and family to join in the fun. Ethan was so excited the day of his party and had such a great time.

For his cake my co-worker Julia made at Ethan's request a candy frog cake with matching lily pad cupcakes. This was one of the highlights of Ethan's day since he LOVES candy frogs.

After the party Ethan played with his friends in the museum and then went on the merry-go-round to round off a great day. Thanks so much for those that were able to come and help him celebrate!

Happy 3rd birthday to the best little man in the universe!

To celebrate we are heading to Ethan's favorite restaurant Red Robin for some fries and of course a birthday sunday for the birthday boy. Then it will be off to Chuckie Cheese to play some games. Then his big birthday bash this weekend. (I will post about this later). We love you so much Ethan! Love, Mom & Dad

Waterways Sunset Dinner Cruise.

As a surprise for Jeff's birthday we went on a sunset dinner cruise through Waterways Cruises with our friends Courtney and Jeff. It was a great evening for it with the sun shining and being out on the water. We had a great time hanging with friends and celebrating another year passing by. We even got to sail by Bill Gates house and see a house with a T-Rex skeleton.

Heat Wave

With the nice weather comes the hot weather. Thankfully we purchased some airconditioners to combat this from last year and finally brought them out today. We did enjoy some sprinkler fun though in the backyard and had a blast washing out tools and watering the flowers. And on another note...

Summer has arrived...

Summer finally decided to show up in full force which usually occurs after the fourth of July in the Pacific Northwest. The flowers in our yard are in full bloom and we are spending more time outdoors enjoying this fantastic weather. We also booked our Disneyland trip for the end of October that we are very excited about. This is Ethan's first trip there and he is very excited to visit with Mickey Mouse.
