dinner with the chef at victoria & alberts...
Thankfully for us, we were staying onsite which gave me a few days ahead to try to book a table at the restaurant. I went online the day that we were able to start making reservations and put in our time frame, not really expecting that I would be able to book it. But low and behold, when the screen came up the chef's table was actually free and I booked it on the spot. This one is usually impossible to get since the restaurant only allows one booking a night and you get to actually eat at a private table in the kitchen.
Enough about the reservation though. I will go ahead and leave you with the food details and pictures. All ten courses of them with wine. Click below for more details...
It's a small world after all...
We have just returned from a fantastic week visiting Disney World. We left the breezy Pacific North West to the warm Florida weather. We had sun almost everyday and Ethan was so excited to be there it was contagious.
We ended up staying at the Beach Club resort and boy was this hotel cool. It was about a ten minute walk from my favorite land Epcot and it had the most amazing sand bottom pool. It was also only a boat ride away from Hollywood studios.
The main highlights of the trip was Ethan's first upside down roller coaster, the chefs table at Victoria and alberts (which I'll include include later post), and Ethan's love of universal studios.

flakes of flurry...
Last night we went to see the LEGO movie which was so great and I highly recommend it. When we left the theater and headed to dinner the snow was coming down lightly. The drive home after dinner we saw more of it but it wasn't coming down that much. This morning however, our neighborhood was covered in white. Of course as soon as Ethan woke up and looked out his window he wanted to jump right into his snow pants and head out the door.
The snow wasn't that great for making a snow man but we tried our best.
And when you build a snow man, the best part is breaking it down.

let the snow fly...
It was another day on the slopes and another lesson to be had. We lucked out on the weather front since the sun was shining but definitely very chilly. I believe that when we got up to the mountain my car was registering only 12 degrees outside.
All in all, it was a beautiful morning to be up on the mountain and Ethan seemed to enjoy it as well. We even got to stop on the way home for some well deserved ice cream. :)

hunt for the 12th man...
This past weekend Jeff, Ethan, and I entered a contest where you had to travel to different Seattle landmarks, check in at that location, and take a picture. It made for a very long day but it was fun getting out, exploring new locations in the city, and enjoying the sunshine for a bit. Let's hope that we win!

hitting the slopes...
We have a new skier in training. Ethan began ski school lessons today and what a great day to hit the slopes. Way to go Ethan!
