We started off with a trip to the Great Wolf Lodge with Ethan's cousin's tagging along. We all had such a great time at the waterpark, arcade, and just hanging out. It was definitely action packed the entire weekend and we all needed a nap when we got back home.
Then it was time for Ethan's actual birthday. Jeff has made it a custom to take the day off of work and let Ethan pick out what activities he wants to do. For the past two years he has basically picked the same things so next year we are going to throw in a few surprises.

For breakfast, he really wanted to have it served in bed while he got to watch his iPad. This seemed to be a big deal for him since he saw it done for me for Mother's Day. He also made the request for colored pancakes as well.
Once breakfast was over it was time to come down stairs and see all of the decorations and presents in store for him.
After that he was able to recreate the comedy sketch from Galligar, we went to Gameworks, visited Red Robin for the birthday singing which he hasn't missed since he was one, followed by a hot dog roast in the backyard.
As a kid I remember how important my birthdays were and it is great that we are keeping the tradition going.
Happy Birthday to the best son any parent could ask for. You are an amazing boy full of adventure and laughs and we are so proud to have you as a son. (But please stop growing up so fast.) XOXO - Mom & Dad
