When the holiday's hit, it's time for our holiday family traditions, and that means getting our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving.
We have been going to a u-cut tree farm since Ethan has been born, specifically the Red Wood Tree Barn. In the past, we bought one of their cut Christmas trees but for the last few years we have been going and searching for our own to cut. It is really fun to make these memories as a family and it's something we look forward to doing every year.
This year it was pouring down rain so we got pretty wet. Luckily we found our tree pretty quickly this year though.
Unfortunately for Jeff, he had to get down in the mud to saw it down while Ethan observed.
But we got it home, and decorated and Ethan had a blast this year putting up all of the ornaments. Many of them are from vacations so we look forward to pulling them out every year and remembering when we got them on our travels.
Plus, Johnson the elf arrived back from the North Pole as well. Ethan was curious how he was able to go in and out of our house because of the alarm. Jeff told him on the fly that Johnson came down from the attic through an air vent. Hopefully we have not scarred Ethan for life. :-(
