This past week has been beautiful here in Seattle. I am hoping that this is a sign that we Spring weather will be rockin'. We've been able to pull out our short sleeved shirts and bikes and scooters and hit the open road, or at least the open sidewalk. When we have weather like this it makes me remember why I tolerate this area during the rain and gloomy season.
* FYI - the hat Ethan is wearing was made by one of Jeff's friends from his favorite game Castle Crashers.

business trips...
The title of this post is a little misleading since I did not actually get to go on a business trip, Jeff did. As he headed to Boston Ethan and I flew solo for a few days and boy was I ready for Jeff to return. Ethan and I did have a great time however and we seemed to be on the go every day (hence why I was tired).
One of the days my dad came down to visit and we headed to the Woodland Park Zoo. The weather and the day turned out great, and we walked around the whole entire zoo. I think Ethan was even tired after that which is a rarity in our house.

eggerific...
Now that I have my new craft area and easter is headed our way it was time to bring out the items to make some homemade decorations. While shopping at Target for my leprechaun trap supplies last week I came across some foam easter eggs and easter sticker kit, as well as some glitter glue.

happy st. patrick's day...
Ethan came home from school on Friday super excited about the awaited visit of the Leprechaun. I had no clue that this was even a thing on St. Patrick's day so I had to think of something fast. He had heard that on the eve of St. Patrick's day that the leprechaun comes to your house and plays tricks on you so that you will not venture out and search for his gold.

creative juices flowing...
For the longest time the desk in my craft room has been ever so slowly coming apart. It was a desk I had from IKEA I believe from my college days and it left little room for storage purposes. It was also one of the last pieces of furniture we were looking to update outside of Jeff's computer desk.
I have bought a couple of pieces of furniture recently that are metal and reclaimed wood that I have really liked and as soon as I saw this desk at Cost Plus I knew I would love to have it in my craft room.
While I was there shopping I picked up a bunch of different types of clips to put on the metal bars as well and I love the way it turned out. This will be a work in progress but it definitely is a place I can't wait to create stuff in.

snow bunny...
This past weekend I was able to head to Bellingham to go to Mt. Baker and hit the slopes. My dad has a season pass and he just got a new car so we took it for a spin up to the mountain.
The weather ended up working in our favor and we were able to ski some fresh powder as well. I also got to try out my new ski's and they worked out great. I hope to be hitting the slopes a few more times this year.

burgers, trolls, and mohai...
After being cooped up in the house from being sick we were finally able to make a break for it and get out and enjoy Seattle a little bit. On Sunday I woke up and thought, let's go on an adventure.
Our first stop was the Fremont Troll that Ethan was very excited to climb on. I had drove by here numerous times but never actually got out of the car. There was a big group of people there taking a photo but we were able to climb on the troll a little bit before hopping back in the car. Next stop was parking followed by a long walk through the new Amazon complex to a visit at Lunchbox Laboratory for some shakes and burgers. Next we headed to the new museum of history and industry down on south lake union. Luckily it was not very crowded and we were able to breeze through all check out all of the Seattle memorabilia. They even had the old "toe" truck that used to be at the bottom of the exit after you got off on Mercer.
