white picket fences...
Well not technically a white picket fence but close enough. When we bought our house last year Jeff and I made a deal that we would fence in our side yard. It is now finally complete. Yeah!!!

a bite out of the big apple...
I've just returned from a week long work trip from New York. This would be my fourth trip to the city and I am finally feeling like I am able to navigate around and not get lost which is a big deal for me.
Most of the time was spent in hotel conference rooms but for the times I was able to go out I truly enjoyed the city. I ended up staying in a hotel in Times Square so I was around a bunch of the action but we were able to get out for some great meals a couple of times in the East Village. The two restaurants that I got to try were Palma and ACME. Both were very good and yet very different. On our way to ACME we were also able to catch a live taping of Sesame Street (Ethan was so jealous).
On my final day the weather decided to cooperate and I was able to walk to Central Park. There was a free concert going on in the middle of the park and lucky for me, there was a cafe right by so I ate my meal while listening to some great music. A perfect end to a New York adventure.

fences up...
Operation fence side yard is in full force at the Kalles house hold. When we had purchased our house last year, the one concession that I had when we bought the house I wanted to fence in the side yard to make our yard a little bigger for Ethan and for Bindi to run around in.
Its been almost a year but the project was finally able to be started this past weekend. Hopefully it will be done this next weekend. Stay tuned for the final pics. I can't wait!

sun, sand, & family...
They have an absolutely beautiful house in El Sargento (in between Cabo and La Paz) and even though it was a trek from the airport we were happy to chill at the beach and swim in the pool.

take me out to the ballgame...
Last night was the M's home opener at Safeco Field. This was I believe my 14th home opener and Ethan's 5th home opener so it has turned into a family tradition for us. Ethan didn't want to go at first but once there he had a great time. Especially after he got his hot dog, fries, and dippin' dots. The weather was cooperative as well so we thankfully didn't see rain and got to enjoy the game dry and they won. Check out the new HUGE tv screen as well. Go M's!!!

some bunny loves you...
This past weekend flew by like a blur. We had Easter festivities both days and the most beautiful weather to accompany it. On Saturday after soccer we headed out to the Snoqualmie Ice Cream Easter egg hunt. I think the whole town of Snohomish showed up for it. We will definitely be back again for the ice cream (the egg hunt was another story :(). Then we were off to Jeff's mom's house to go on another egg hunt and have dinner. Ethan had a blast hanging with his cousins and made out with a ton of candy.
On Easter Sunday, the bunny paid us a visit and left our house with even more candy. Then we had family over for dinner and enjoyed the sunshine. I hope everyone had a fantastic Easter!
